Drops treat the moment.
We treat the cause.

A calm, three-step pathway to lasting relief — clearing the blocked glands, debris and inflammation that artificial tears simply can't reach.

Understanding dry eye

When tears stop doing their job

Healthy tears are more than water. Along the rim of each eyelid, tiny meibomian glands release a fine layer of oil that seals in moisture and stops your tears evaporating.

When those glands clog, or debris builds along the lash line, that oil layer breaks down and tears evaporate too fast — leaving eyes gritty, tired, watery or blurred. Drops soothe briefly, but they can't clean beneath the lids or reopen blocked glands.

Oil — seals in moisture
Water — nourishes the eye
Mucin — anchors the tear to the eye
MEIBOMIAN GLANDS they line both eyelids
Sound familiar?

You might recognise these

Dry eye is common — and very manageable once the cause is treated rather than masked.

Gritty, burning or "sandy" eyes

Watery eyes that still feel dry

Blurry vision after screen time

Tired, red eyes by evening

Contact lenses feel uncomfortable

Blurred vision that clears when you blink

Screens, dry Canadian winters, contact lenses and some medications can all make these worse.

The pathway

Three gentle treatments that work together

Each step prepares the eye for the next, so relief lasts rather than washing away. You may need one step or all three — your assessment decides.

Step one · Rinse2027

Rinsada™ Ocular Irrigation

A soft, single-use retractor gently lifts the eyelid while a controlled stream of sterile saline flushes the hidden fold beneath — washing away allergens, bacteria, inflammatory debris and biofilm.

The clean feeling drops can't give you.
$135 / eye
$250 both

Step two · Clean2027

ZEST™ Lid Cleaning

A gel derived from okra is swept along the lash line with a soft applicator, lifting away the bacteria, biofilm and crusting that ordinary lid wipes leave behind. Naturally derived, and comfortable enough for sensitive lids.

Healthier eyelids, down to the root.
$150 / eye
$250 both

Step three · Restore2027

LipiFlow® Thermal Pulsation

Soft, flexible warming devices sit along your eyelids and melt the hardened oil blocking your glands — with your eyes open and blinking normally throughout. Your optometrist then expresses each gland by hand to clear it.

Your own tears, protecting you again.
$575 / eye
$1,100 both

Your visit, step by step

Every pathway starts with an assessment

We evaluate before we treat, so your care is matched precisely to what your eyes actually need.

1

A careful dry eye assessment

Your optometrist evaluates your tear film, eyelids, gland function and symptoms to find the real cause of your discomfort.

2

A personalised pathway

One step or all three, matched precisely to what your eyes need. We'll explain what we recommend and why, along with the exact cost, before anything begins.

3

Gentle, doctor-performed treatment

Performed in a calm, unhurried visit — most complete in under an hour, with no downtime afterwards.

Please read: payment & insurance for dry eye treatment

  • We do not direct bill for dry eye services. Payment is made at the time of your visit, and we'll give you a detailed receipt to submit to your insurer yourself.
  • Dry eye treatments are not covered by OHIP.
  • These treatments are relatively new to the market and are often not included in a typical vision care plan. Many plans simply don't have a category for them yet.
  • If you're hoping to have this covered, please verify with your insurance provider first — in most cases it is not covered, and we'd rather you know that before you book than be surprised afterwards.
